i2B is a cloud based SaaS (Software as a Service) Platform that connects the supply chain between buyer and supplier within the cloud. i2B offers huge production improvements and cost savings.

The North East based software company has 15 years history and has grown organically by working with leading brands such as Princes Foods, Armitage Shanks, Boots, Barnardos and Storey Carpets.

i2B’s marketing objective was to increase new business opportunities and target potential partners and resellers.

The Work:

An initial marketing review took place through MMC reviewing all previous and past marketing methods, by running SWOT Analysis, Situational Marketing Research and by spending time with the Senior Management Team of i2B. From the review findings, a strategy and plan was written identifying the opportunities for growth for I2B and the best route to market.
The strategy provided key target sectors and communication methods with clear goals and objectives to achieve. The channels identified were:-

  • Digital marketing through SEO, PPC and improving the CRO of the site (conversion rate optimisation) – ways to convert visitors into customers
  • Planning the introduction of a Marketing Automation Platform / inbound marketing
  • Content marketing strategy and plan – blog, webinar, eBook, download strategy
  • Social media – planning and running a social media plan for i2B
  • Exhibitions –exhibitions and conferences for i2B to attend and exhibit at – managing the process on their behalf
    Memberships and organisations – advising on who and where to be seen and involved
  • Lead generation and business development follow up service
    Measurement dashboard and processes put into place to help see the effectiveness of marketing and sales

The Results:

The strategy provided i2B with clear goals and a vision of how to grow the business through effective marketing.
MMC has subsequently been selected to work with the i2B management team on rolling out the marketing plan and is now classed as a key part of the team to grow i2B.
