Sophie Peel joins MMC to lead on the agency’s focus on increasing the number of businesses using customer and competitor insights to grow their businesses.
Recently MMC became the North East’s BIPC (Business IP Centre) Expert in Residence for Market Research, which enables the growing research and insights agency to offer expert advice to SMEs across the North East. For those in Sunderland, Newcastle and Gateshead, businesses can also apply for 12-hours funded research, through the CityLife programme.
Sophie has an extensive background working with businesses, specifically helping them understand what their barriers are to growth.
Previously to MMC, Sophie spent three years at Sunderland Software City as their enterprise manager. During that time, she worked with MMC on the delivery of ERDF-funded Market Intelligence projects.
Natasha McDonough, Founder and CEO of MMC says,
“Having previously worked with Sophie, I always admired her approach when helping businesses look for opportunities to grow. She’s supportive with clients, and a visionary thinker, ideal traits that align with our culture and values.”
Sophie added:
“I can’t believe my luck in being able to join such an empowering female strong, organisation. I already feel they just get it and get me. Three prongs of happiness in one job: A business with a great culture, I can continue to support the fabulous North East business community and it’s a role which allows me to be the most flexible worker ever ensuring I get the family time I need. I am so happy right now and I can’t wait to get stuck into it all!”
