The Fish Quay Shop is located in Sunderland’s historic Fish Quay. It has a loyal base of customers and regular trade buyers within the region.
The company wanted a marketing agency to help them raise their profile, and we were recommended to them by an existing client.
With more people wanting to bring the gastro experience into their own homes and a market for high quality, sustainable fish, the Fish Quay is an ideal place for Sunderland-based consumers to get top-quality produce into their own home kitchens.
After an initial marketing review, we planned a social media campaign to help build brand awareness among consumers. Many Sunderland residents already used Facebook to order meat through local butchers and fruit and veg through local greengrocers, so it seemed like a natural avenue to bring in customers.
We achieved this by promoting their festive seafood platters by running competitions, as well as running sponsored Facebook posts at optimum times.
Before this campaign, the Fish Quay’s Facebook page had just over 1,000 likes. By the end of the month-long campaign, we’d increased that to 3,000.
Even more importantly: from the instant the first promotion started, enquiries and orders started flooding in. As a result, The Fish Quay Shop had its busiest and most profitable Christmas so far!
They received plenty of positive feedback on their Facebook page but most importantly an 800% return on their marketing investment.
The number of likes to their Facebook page also trebled which makes it easier to continue to push out promotions and special offers.
