The great thing about Gradvert is that Michaela Reaney, Gradvert’s Managing Director, appreciated marketing and the difference it could make to a company’s success. The company was generating leads however not at the level it needed to take it to its next stage of growth. Gradvert was going for investment for their next stage of development and it was therefore critical for the young company to have a solid, executed marketing plan in place. Mentoring and management of their small marketing team was also required.
Through running marketing workshops, interviews with the team and analysis of their marketing data, Natasha McDonough pulled together a full marketing strategy that focused on development of the brand, elevation of the company as a whole and with a particular focus on generating a higher number of inbound leads.
It was critical that SEO and PPC was improved, so work was soon started to increase leads through the creation of new guides/downloads and through improving on the levels of content being created. A brand audit took place as well as a thorough audit on the website offering and their digital activity.
From findings, it was suggested that a repositioning of the company took place to merge both training and recruitment arms together – having coexisted previously. Initial findings indicated that many clients use Gradvert for both Graduate schemes as well as other training around their business, so a holistic view and offer needed to be taken with the brand – rather than separating out both services.
After the successful launch of the new brand, position statement and website, PR services were introduced, which successfully elevated Michaela and her team’s profile mostly within the North East press as well as further afield.
MMC has worked with Gradvert on a daily basis since December 2015. Natasha McDonough sits on the Management Board as it’s Non Executive Marketing Director and manages MMC Associates to deliver on everything from website, branding, PR through to SEO and PPC.
