Congratulations to Shine Interview, who have also made the shortlist for the New Business Award. We’ve been working with Shine since the day when their business was just an idea to their business launch, and up to present day. We whole-heartedly wish them the best of luck.
Now in their twelfth year, the Portfolio Awards focuses not only on the individual achievements of businesses of all sizes on Wearside, but also their role in promoting the area both regionally and nationwide.
All nominations were vetted by a panel of judges which included Sunderland City Council and business leaders from throughout the Wearside area, which means that this nomination means a lot to us here at MMC.
This is the second time in as many weeks we have been recognised as a promising new business worthy of an award, something we are justly proud of after a year and a half of hard work getting this business of its feet and thriving, having served 21 clients up to date and opened an office at Sunderland Software Centre earlier this year. Looking back to how this company was founded, with one woman and her laptop, we are certainly proud of how far we have come in such a short period of time.
Make It Sunderland is once again the headline sponsor of the awards, and the other sponsors include Maxim, Quayside Exchange, K&L Groundworks, UKasl, North East Business & Innovation Centre (BIC), Gentoo, Age UK Sunderland, The Bridges, Stagecoach North East, TTR Barnes, Calsonic Kansei, Northumbrian Water and Sunderland College.
We look forward to the winners of the awards being announced at the finals, which will be held at the Stadium of Light on Thursday 13th October.
Good luck everyone!
