We are excited to announce that Natasha McDonough, founder and managing director of MMC, has been included in the #iAlso100 2025 list. This prestigious recognition celebrates 100 extraordinary female entrepreneurs who are not only thriving in their industries but are also making a significant impact in their communities and additional roles.
The campaign is spearheaded by Small Business Britain, which aims to increase the number of female entrepreneurs from their current 20% to 30% by 2030. The f:Entrepreneur campaign and all female entrepreneurs are pivotal to that.
The f:Entrepreneur campaign is now in its eighth year of championing incredible female entrepreneurs and sharing their stories with the press, policymakers and all entrepreneurs who can be inspired by their achievements.
Natasha’s inclusion in this list is a testament to her leadership, innovation, and commitment to supporting others on their entrepreneurial journeys. We celebrated this when she recently won the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Sunderland Business Excellence Awards 2024.
What is the #iAlso100 List?
The #iAlso100 list is an annual celebration of inspiring female entrepreneurs across the UK who are balancing multiple roles and succeeding in business. The list highlights women who are driving growth, creating positive social change, and challenging the status quo.
It is a powerful platform that spotlights women in leadership positions and encourages others to follow in their footsteps. The #iAlso100 list recognises those who are not only building successful businesses but also empowering others, advocating for greater diversity and inclusion, and fostering a sense of community.
Natasha’s Entrepreneurial Journey
Natasha’s entrepreneurial journey began over ten years ago when she faced redundancy while raising two young children. With an impressive background in senior marketing roles for global brands such as Sony and Office Products International, Natasha harnessed her expertise and passion to build something of her own. She founded MMC in 2015, intending to combine her professional experience with a strong commitment to creating a supportive and flexible workplace.
Initially launched as a strategic marketing agency, MMC pivoted during the COVID-19 pandemic, with 80% of the agency’s work disappearing overnight. Natasha quickly transformed the business into a full-service market research agency, which led to significant growth.
MMC secured high-profile projects like the North East Transport Plan and several COVID-related studies. Natasha’s leadership and innovative approach have seen the agency double its revenue annually, and it has big plans for the year ahead.
In addition to running MMC, Natasha was appointed Vice President of the North East Chamber of Commerce in the summer of 2024.
Living an #iAlso Life
Natasha’s inclusion in the #iAlso100 list reflects her ability to balance multiple roles while continuing to make a meaningful impact in her business and community. Natasha is a true example of what it means to live an #iAlso life.
Beyond running MMC, Natasha is deeply involved in supporting her local community. As Vice President of the North East Chamber of Commerce, she champions the growth of small businesses and works to ensure that local entrepreneurs have the resources and support they need to succeed. Natasha is also a mentor, offering guidance to young women looking to build their own businesses and break through the barriers often faced by female entrepreneurs.
Additionally, Natasha serves as a board member for the Foundation of Light, where she helps shape initiatives that positively impact education and community development for young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
She’s also a busy and committed Mum of two – her most important role!
Contributing to the f:Entrepreneur Community
Natasha is excited to contribute to the #iAlso community by sharing her experiences and using her platform to amplify the voices of other women in business. She knows the importance of resilience, community, and empathy, having overcome personal challenges along the way Natasha leads with empathy, and this core value drives both her business practices and leadership style.
As a mentor and advocate, Natasha encourages other women to embrace their authenticity and lead with kindness. She believes that vulnerability is a strength and that all women can make a significant impact in business when they are true to themselves. Natasha is also passionate about inspiring young women to believe in their abilities and pursue leadership roles, showing them that there are no limits to their success.
On her inclusion on the list, Natasha said:
I’m delighted to be part of the f:Entrepreneur movement to help encourage more women into entrepreneurship and define what it means today to run a business alongside other commitments.
I’m also keen to bring more B2B women entrepreneurs into this fantastic group of women as well as more women in the North.
Looking Ahead
Being named to the #iAlso100 2ƒI025 list is a tremendous achievement for Natasha, but it’s just the beginning of what promises to be an even more successful and impactful business and personal journey. As she continues to lead MMC, Natasha remains focused on creating a business that balances profit with purpose while also empowering others to succeed.
We look forward to Natasha’s continued success and to the positive impact she will continue to have on her industry and her community.
