MMC Research expands to London: A new chapter

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter for MMC Research: the opening of our very first hub in London. This marks a major milestone as we continue to grow, innovate, and expand our presence within our target sectors. 

Our move into the capital is an important step in strengthening our relationships with our clients and enhancing the services we provide to businesses across the UK and beyond.

Why London?

The expansion into London is more than just a geographical move; it’s about being closer to our clients, particularly those in SaaS, private equity and pharma, and tapping into the opportunities offered by one of the most dynamic business hubs in the world. 

The expansion also has personal significance for MMC’s founder, Natasha McDonough. Originally from London, Natasha relocated to the North East 17 years ago and made Sunderland her adopted home. 

She said: “It feels great to establish a base in my home city while continuing to expand MMC’s reach in London. We’ve been spending more time on projects in London over the past year in particular, and with Alice already based there, it made sense to solidify our offering.”

The hub formalises the involvement of Alice Broomhall as a key figure of expansion in the capital. Since joining us in 2021, Alice has played a crucial role in driving MMC’s service delivery outside of our North East home. 

Alice will be a key part of MMC’s growing client relationships and project delivery in the South East. With her on the ground in London, MMC’s move to formalise a hub office in the city felt like a natural next step, and we’re aiming to drive substantial additional revenue from the London hub over the next 12 months. 

A stronger presence = more opportunities

The decision to open our London hub is part of a broader strategy for growth here at MMC. Over the years, we’ve made it our mission to combine traditional market research methods with the latest in behavioural insights and cutting-edge technology. 

This unique approach has allowed us to work with businesses across a range of industries, including tech, healthcare, housing and finance, helping these organisations to make smarter, data-driven decisions. We also have extensive experience with public sector organisations, helping them to do the same and driving real change as a result.

With our new London base, we’re excited to extend our services to an even wider range of clients. London, of course, is home to some of the biggest players in these fast-moving sectors, and our goal is to support these businesses with the high-quality insights they need to thrive. This office will solidify our offering in the capital and allow us to be more hands-on with our clients there, providing them with the tailored, in-depth research that MMC is known for.

Opening our London hub is just the beginning and part of a wider growth plan. We’re already looking ahead to what’s next in 2025-2026, and exploring how we can continue to expand our reach, innovate and expand our service offering, and build deeper relationships with our clients. The future is full of exciting possibilities, and we’re committed to making sure that we’re well-positioned to help our clients succeed in an increasingly data-driven world.

As part of this exciting expansion, we are also proud to join the London Chamber of Commerce as we look to broaden our connections in the city. As many of you will no doubt know, Natasha is the current Vice President of the North East Chamber of Commerce and champions the Chamber across the region, so she in particular is looking forward to strengthening MMC’s ties with London’s business community via the London Chamber. 

She explained: “We’re thrilled to be part of the London Chamber and are excited to attend next year’s British Chambers of Commerce event again to network with other regional and global Chambers. It will be a fantastic opportunity to spend more time with my Chamber colleagues and build further connections in the capital.”

We’re excited for what’s to come, and we can’t wait to start working with even more businesses in the capital. Our new London hub is ready to bring MMC’s unique approach to market research to the heart of one of the world’s most vibrant cities.
